In France we can identify with your complaint.
When we wish to describe the "pucker" embouchure we say "cul du poule" which
literally translates as "a$$ of a chicken"

As to the rest of your missive I agree completely especially;

As to;

The English term I personally prefer is "lip blocking",
I have yet to find an appropriate term in French.
