Sometimes I will break code. I have GIVEN my last harp of that particular key to friends who are on a gig and their harp breaks.> > But the real story is when I was in college, there was a local player who was around 40 years old. He asked to borrow a harp and sit in on my gig. Respect your elders, I say. Now I have never tried cocaine before or since, yet I KNOW this dude was doing coke because the moment I played the returned harp I got a feeling that was unmistakable, even to the untrained. The moral? Never let the guy who blows by thru his nose borrow your harp! I'm kidding, he blew with his mouth, but that stuff must infiltrate your whole bloodstream and sweat.> Michael Rubin> MichaelRubinharmonica.com> _______________________________________________> Harp-L is sponsored by SPAH, http://www.spah.org> Harp-L@xxxxxxxxxx> http://harp-l.org/mailman/listinfo/harp-l
Nasty nasty nasty. My own harps that only I have played creep me out just a little, and I haven't been playing that long so they're not that bad yet.

This situation is why I bought ten of those lollipop colored plastic harps with my most recent C2C order. I keep a couple in my coat pocket to give to the curious non-players who are bold enough to walk up and express actual interest. Well, I mean, once *I'm* bold enough to play in public where people would have the opportunity to walk up and ask about it. No one has approached me while I am sitting in my car in traffic. I guess this $2.25 plastic harp idea wouldn't work so well for real friends on a gig, but it certainly would for acquaintances and strangers. (This wasn't my original idea, I read about it somewhere.)
