[Harp-L] Jazz lover? Check these great resources!

Hi,

Doing some search on U.S. music colleges' web sites I came across the
following link:

http://www.berkleeshares.com/

Just plug in the search icon the word "Jazz" and click "search". Then
you'll see a number of sound / video and PDF files with some interesting
and very useful information. many topics are covered. these are demo
files. but I guess you can purchase if you wish I guess. Anyway these
demos are for free download.

What is great is that these and similar files are used for distance
learning, so they are fully filled in with useful information. Demo PDF
files - I guess you need some advanced PDF reader (I use Adobe
Professional 6.0.) - so PDF files contain not only text but video and
audio. Fully interective stuff. I liked very much an EQ exercise: you
are asked to identify the frequesncy by ear. You have access to some 10%
of the possible information offered, but it's enough for the start.

As for the breathing: nice interview audio file on breathing technique
for vocalists: 4/4/4/ rule, etc.

Just check it out, you won't regret.

Best,

Alex
