I asked about the Paddy richter tuning using LO reedplates.

Joe Mahan replied :
To make a C paddy:

blow reeds from "G" MM (top plate, drilled-through holes)
draw reeds from "C" Richter (bottom plate, threaded holes)

Hey Larry,

Don't forget that with all those left over reed plates you can build
another hybrid harp with the 5 & 9 draw raised a semi-tone, a "country
tuned"

To make a C country (or C Lydien):

blow reeds from "C" Richter (top plate, drilled-through holes)
draw reeds from "G" MM (bottom plate, threaded holes)

Aparently this tuning is often favourd by players such as Charlie McCoy
Hence the name "Country Tuned".

C Lydien is the favorite tuning for the french be-bop player Sebastien
Charlier.

With the 5 draw sharp, its also interesting to play majeur in third
position.
