[Harp-L] Observations

1) My great-uncle was born with perfect pitch.
This allowed him to earn his living tuning vibraphones.
In the meantime, it was impossable for him to listen to music.

2) I don't play the harmonica with the bass notes on the right, but,
whenever there's a harp player in town that does, I send all my
students out to see him/her/-.
I tell them to get as close to the stage as possible, look up under the harp
& copy down all the numbers in the right order.
It appears that some of the players in question are hip to my technique
of ripping off all their licks and have started to SWAP the covers.

3) As it is (virtualy) impossable to read them, while actualy playing,
what purpose, other than tableture, do the numbers serve?

4) If "German major tuning" refers to the more or less traditional layout
on a Richter system diatonic harmonica
( and I always thought that Richter was a Bohemian as opposed to a German)
should we now call the "Melody Maker" (Trade Mark)
Danish major tuning?

5) My dog howls every time I play the harmonica.

No connection.
