[Harp-L] Re:Fat Tuesday in Milwaukee & Mumbai Report

Looks like I'll be celebrating Fat Tuesday 2/28 at:The Potawatomi
Casino/Northern Lights Theatre
in Milwaukee....fronting (Lead Vocals and Harmonica) with "Blood Sweat and
Tears".

We'll be doin' all the classic AM & FM hits: Spinning Wheel, You Made me so
Very Happy, And When I Die, God Bless the Child, Hi-De-Ho, Lucretia McEvil,
I Love You More than You'll ever Know, I can't Quit Her and more..........

The Tricky part is adding the HARP...on alot of their recordings the harp
was 'under' the singing, since I'm doin' both....I've had to rethink the
harps role. I extended the Harp Solo in "Hi-de-Ho" and added a long solo
intro to "And When I Die".....we'll see how it flies,-)

In addition, I'll be bringing the big band charts for my Butterfield
Favorites:
1) Walkin' by Myself
2) Driftin and Driftin' (pigboy studio version)
as well as Delbert's terrific version of:
"Back to Louisiana"
I DO hope we'll have time to do these!

hope to see some gamblin' harp crazed Milwaukee-ans!!!!,-)))))

My trip last week to Mumbai (Bombay), India (with The Original Blues
Brothers Band) was a Blast, but a rather short trip. We performed at their
FIRST international music festival called the "OneTree Festival".
I ran into a few harp players at the show and they sounded good, apparentely
the harp is JUST starting to take off over there and it will be interesting
to see it mesh with traditional indian music! I hope I can go back again and
hit a few more towns, it is a fascinating country with so much history and
the people were wonderful and kind!

all the best,
