I just wanted to point out that not all 2nd position is blues, either!  2nd 
position is often used for rock and country music, and it can even work for 
jazz, as Iceman proved in his "Summertime" video.  I reckon you could play 
almost any kind of music in almost any position, if you knew the scales and 
overbends well enough.
