[Harp-L] Much ado addendum and obligitory harp content

The word barbecue is a wonderful example of the difficulty in ascribing a
definition or origin. The origin of the word itself is likely from natives
in the Caribbean, translated through the French or Spanish. Many will say
the basic technique as well. It remains, however, that many cultures around
the world cook meat similarly. To add to that, various cultures have
contributed to the many variations of present practice, especially in
regards to the sauces.

Obligatory harp content: I defy anyone to definitively prove who originated
blues harmonica. It is complicated enough just figuring out the recording
aspect.

And this is just about what has survived. This says nothing of the many
players who are lost to recorded history.
