[Harp-L] Harmonica Films on TV

For those interested, another harmonica related film will be shown on 
TCM (Turner Classic Movies) on Tuesday, June 13 at 4:30am EDT. This 
film, 1945's "Radio Stars On Parade,"  is not primarily a harmonica 
film, but does have a short clip of 3 harmonica greats on stage as part 
of the story line. These 3 are: Charley Leighton, George Fields and Joe 
Mullendore (Joe Sanns). While the three are playing (all chromatics), a 
couple of thugs on the run enter the stage area by mistake, and quickly 
join the trio, pretending to also be playing harmonicas. Glad to have it 
in my library because of the stature of the three players, even if it is 
only a very short clip.

And also on TCM, the 1953 film, "Genevieve," will once again be shown on 
Sunday, June 11 at 1:30am EDT. This is the film for which Larry Adler 
wrote the score, and plays throughout, though not on screen.
