[Harp-L] Loud Volumes

I never get used to loud volumes (where you have to scream into someones ear to be heard). I have gotten used to spicy foods. What I have seen is many in the audience leaving early. I quess if I drank enough alcohol it would be less uncomfortable, unfortunately the remaining audience that is drunk doesn't care what is being played when they are numb.I got custom Etymotic earplugs that are flesh colored so I would feel less ruthless at a loud gig when the audience is unprotected. The bands that managed their volume level have listeners stay and appreciate their music. When people who are smashed say how great the band sounds, I notice that they wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I appreciate their enthusiasm, it is just hard to take it seriously.
  Thanks,
  Brian

I think it's like spicy food you get used to loudness, eventually you
go
deaf anyway.

Pierre.
