[Harp-L] study with Howard Levy, Rob Paparozzi & Hendrik Meurkens

A one day harmonica seminar in the burbs (Tri-State area) seminar

although I'm happy to see that there are some A-1 Blues Jam Camps throughout the country, I think more is needed for the player that wants to move in other directions on harmonica. In the past I have had good luck and success in teaming up with players like Howard Levy and Robert Bonfiglio to present such workshops.....it's time for another!

with: Howard Levy, Rob Paparozzi & Hendrik Meurkens

One day only, limited to 10 Students Price: $150 (by limiting the class to ten, the class can remain very 'hands on' and more one on one when addressing issues)

The setting: my home (central New Jersey-USA) food will be served as well
Hours approx: Noon-5pm

This will be a 'hands on' seminar to improve both diatonic and chromatic skills.
emphasis on practice techniques, tone, and tools for advancing your improv skills.

Howard Levy -
will concentrate on ways to think modally and chromatically on Diatonic combined with tools & techniques that are invaluable to players of ANY style on diatonic. Howard is known mostly as a master of the Overblow technique, but much more will be covered including regular bending skills with precision as well as tone and vibrato

Hendrik Meurkens -
will cover the practice skills needed to play JAZZ on chromatic which of will include an intro to the music theory behind jazz playing. Hendrik also will share his concepts on arranging and writing for Chromatic in the jazz combo setting.

I will cover advancing the diatonic past the standard blues form without the use of overblows and also how to transfer great tone techniques from Diatonic to Chromatic. In addition I will cover how to use harmonica in a band, what to play went NOT soloing, backing up singers, amp& mic skills, session tips and even adding or improving Vocals in your act.

audio taping is welcome.
