A lot of classic standards lay very well on the Melody Maker. Try "Old Man River" in second position for starters.

For an example of a rootsier piece played on the Melody Maker, listen to "New Country Stomp" from my CD "The Second Act of Free Being." You can hear it for free at Broadjam.com by going to the site, clicking on "search", and typing "Richard Hunter" into the artist name field. You'll see a list of songs -- click on "play" next to "New Country Stomp."

I'll post my blues "Big 17," also played on the Melody Maker, to Broadjam today. Give it a day or so, and you'll be able to hear that too.
