Re: [Harp-L] Re: What about a repertoire for the Melody Maker

Tim Moyer quoted me as saying,

The Melody Maker tuning is my least favourite of the alternate tunings.

What's missing is the rest of the paragraph, the end of which I'll append now. *I recently decided to try playing Somewhere Over the Rainbow using the melody maker tuning and I really like it. It took me a bit to wrap my mind around it.*

I guess what I was trying to say is it's not like the SBS tuning or a
harmonic minor or natural minor tuned harmonica. It wasn't intuitive
for me and I don't think it's intuitive for a lot of people who start
out on the 10 hole diatonic harmonica. Nothing wrong with that but I
sure couldn't just pick one up and figure out what to do with it. Even
the major 7th tuned harmonicas are pretty easy to just play. fjm
