I would go with a Pignose Legendary 7-100 amp. Very small, very portable, very cheap, fantastic tone for a battery powered solid state amp.
It takes 6 X AA batteries and also has a mains/ transformer connection and can be slung over your shoulder using a guitar strap if you so require.
