Re: [Harp-L] Gig Notices

Danny -

I'm sure it's a lot of work, but I appreciate it. I pass them on to my local Blues Club President, who sometimes uses them as a guide to book bands that have to travel between Chicago and St. Louis (or make other connections) that allow them to stop off in Springfield, Illinois for a gig in our city between their other bookings.

I also use it when I travel to my family home on the East Coast, trying to plan my overnights to coincide with a good evening of music. It doesn't always work, but the resource is essential to that effort.

If there is no demand for it, I guess we'll just find another source. As for me, I peruse the list as it comes out and I appreciate your efforts as does the Illinois Central Blues Club.

Subject: [Harp-L] Gig Notices

With the recent proliferation of singular posts of gig notices, is it necessary that I continue making the weekly posts of the entire list to Harp-L? The list is long, takes up 1-3/4 digests per week, which may be overwhelming for some folks. Just let me know your preferences.
Thanks,
Danny
