My older brother is a superb Southern Gospel pianist, who provides
accompaniment for our local harmonica club. He often quotes the
following old chestnut (which has probably been said about several
instruments).

Question: How do you get a guitar [harmonica] player to turn his volume
down?

Answer: Put a piece of sheet music in front of him.
