His was a great post.  He of course cc'd me about his gig since  I live right 
in the neighborhood and am a fan of Warren's oh-so-sweet and  soulful harp 
playing, but it just wasn't sufficient notice and I  couldn't get there.  Rats.
 
That's what I so appreciate about what you and Warren do...you both  have 
your own unique "voices" on the harmonica...regardless of whether  it's chromatic 
or diatonic...jazz, blues or something in between. Frankly,  Jason does too.  
His isn't entirely all that "Bluesy" to begin  with, at least to my 
ears...but a melange of genres...his sound a blend of  jazz & blues with some Rock 
thrown in there for good  measure...which is why your playing with him at Bert's 
worked so well  (imo).  
 
This is also why I so much enjoy places like Buckeye and SPAH when  people 
stop segregating themselves into little cliques and reach out to  embrace the 
differences...allowing their sounds to blend and mix.   

The new cover of Harmonica Happenings showed it  gloriously:  Wally Peterman 
on Chord with Jason Ricci on  diatonic...just how very cool was that?  You and 
Warren Bee...POLES  apart (little joke there)..yet I could guarantee you 
could play  together and make incredibly sweet music together, despite coming from 
 completely disparate backgrounds and musical tastes.  
 
Warren has a sound I love.  YOU have a sound I  love. Playing  together...as 
Warren puts it "guys and  gals",  <G>  is what I enjoy the most about our  
differences..and our similarities.  Our commonality of the harmonica  whether 
chromatic or diatonic, is the best of all possible worlds for  me.  
 
Can't wait till the next time we're all together in one place.
