Regarding the "few random thoughts " above:

The TurboHarp TurboLids (IMHO) meet all three of these suggested
improvements.

1. The shape is larger at the low end and is shaped to fit tightly into
the slot formed between the thumb and the index finger.

2. The covers are airtight, and pop apart for easy maintenance.

3. The back is a little more open than regular covers.

4. "Fits these harmonicas: Hohner Special 20, American Ace, Blues Band,
Fuego Azul, GLH, Hot Metal, Old Standby, Pocket Pal, Huang Frontier, Herring
Free Blues, Blue Steel, Jambone and Marine Band (w/TurboHarp 'adaptor
kit')."

5. $8.95 each retail price, and you have a choice of 13 colors.

Browse their Web site:

I use the TurboLids on Hohner Special 20s, and love them!

On suggested improvements to the product lines:

Seydel provides several alternate tunings at a very reasonable price.
They will create a harp tuned to your specification for a small extra fee.

Rupert Oysler is the contact person for Seydel in the USA. He can give you
current prices.

I personally am enthused about the Seydel Blues Session Circular tuned harp.
As soon as I can save enough, I'm planning to purchase a complete set. My
usual gig set are Lee Oskars, but they may become my backup set. The
Circular tuning takes some mental changes, but becomes very intuitive with a
little practice.

Regards,
Crazy ('bout harp!) Bob
