Steve Stills went and didn't get the part because they said he didn't have
good enough teeth and hair, so he went and got his roommate Peter Tork to go
audition, and Pete got the job.

I talked to Peter Tork in 99, he had a blues band together and was touring.
The bad thing about that day was one of the guys I did country with (killer
keyboards, guitar and vocals) was there too, and he was giving Peter a hard
time by asking him how he played the guitar on Last Train To Clarksville
knowing that he didn't have much to do with recording anything. Peter split pretty
mad. Musicians can be pretty demanding of each other and are totally
unforgiving sometimes. I felt bad for him.
