as far as I can find out, Tom Manders (Dorus) (the guy in the  middle) a 
Dutch cabaret artist, was born in 1922 ...died in 1972....so if  we extrapolate he 
was somewhere in his 30's - 40's?  ....(I kind of  suspected the clips 
weren't as old as they might appear just by the  clothing of the people in the 
background)....I'd take a very rough guess  and say they could  be as recent as the 
1950's or even 1960's...but  perhaps meant to look older?
 
It'd be fun to find out for sure.  I was guessing at  a nail brush for his 
"diatonic"....<G>
