[Harp-L] how to correct high pitched sqeaking ?

hi all, i'm relatively new to harmonica playing and also a newer member of
this list and have really appreciated and learned a ton from all the
various questions and replies...thanks!

i've noticed when attempting to bend some draw notes on some harmonicas, a
very high pitched squeaking sound is emitted rather than the bent
note....or sometimes both the bent note together with the squeaking sound
is heard.

what is the cause of the squeaking and how can it be eliminated?

and...is it a harmonica/reed issue or a player issue, or both?
