They were all happy to see me so I set right up and played the whole gig with them. We got rockin and had a great time. Friday night saw me at the Eagles Lodge playing with the Friday night regulars playing old time country stuff. Good for harp when I could find a space between the pedal steel, twelve string, and two other guitars. Shook and banged along with the drummer when appo. Was good to see old friends again after almost three years away.
Now for the bad news. I returned to Idaho Falls to retrive some things I had to leave behind.
First were the two bench seats for my van which I got. Next was the vintage Vox amp and another small practice amp, total value about $3,000.00. My friends old mother decided to re-do the garage while he was in the hospital and threw them out because they
had cob-webs on them. Can you say big bummer. I had that amp since 1969! Next bummer.
Left a vintage short track factory race motorcycle in another friends storage shed. A 1974
DMR- Dick Mann Replica, worth about $3,500.00. The shed was broken into and the bike and all his race car parts were stolen! Can you say "oh well"? So I guess it's a good thing that the water pump in my van is now being replaced bacause it's better now then in the middle of the Nevada desert when I head south. Yesterday I had the right front brake rotor replaced along with the brake pads. Better now then later because a friend is doing it and he needs the money. The good news! There's more room in my van and I get to play again on Thursday night with my buddies. Have a little home session for tonight at a friends house and I'll try to blow my trashed and stolen stuff blues away. Should be back on the road Friday but heck, maybe I'll just stick around another day and play the Friday gig again.
  I'm not in a hurry.
