He who controls the sound booth and the electrical power to the amps is in
control of the volume. It's about setting an agenda and rules/boundaries and
sticking to it. Play by the rules or bye-bye. Not rocket science.

It is all well and good talk about the magic of lower volume. How are you
going to accomplish a volume friendly venue in performance? Just telling a
band to turn down has been less than effective in the past.........
