Re: [Harp-L] George Harmonica Smith

that sceen in the car is priceless Big Joe and Big mama are smashed drinkin wiskey muddy facial expression is hilarious cause he's trying to be serious and those two are sloshed. Joe takes the bottle and starts talking while moma is trying to take it from him he pulls it back and tells her not to water it down she says "i don't see you refusing and joe says i ain't the type" It's actually quite sad but muddy's face tells volumes in that sceen.

There is another tune on there that George does his version of Juke right before leaving Chicago he plays it in A very fast it's really cool and goes into some funny antics with the audience between songs. There is also a video of muddy's that features george on harp over 10 or 12 songs it really cool too.

That DVD "Gunsmoke Blues" is also a must-have.

Seeing Muddy, Big Mama, Big Joe Turner sharing a trip ( I can't recall
now if George Smith was also in the van) and making comments about their
lives is just worth the purchase.

Plus, there are performances by all of them. Big Joe was using crutches
by then.
