[Harp-L] GoodBye Gary Primich

Several years ago I had the extreme pleasure of attending a week long workshop with Gary at The Swananoa Gathering at Warren Wilson College in the NC mountains. The class was small (5 people) and Gary told us that there was no ciriculum and he would tell us anything we wanted to know. That week meat EVERYTHING to me as a player and I learned far more than he ever knew that he had taught me. His buddy Steve James was also an instructor there that year and every night after dinner we hung out playing music, drinking beer and talking trash.
At the end of the week, Gary and I had become good friends and stayed in touch often. I got to hang with him whenever he was in the area and I got to tell you that he was one of the nicest cats in the whole world. He was respectfull, well mannered, talented as hell and a true gentleman. I will always be greatfull for his encouragement and all the "stuff" he taught me. I will miss him greatly. Rest in peace, my friend.
