A few overblowers seem to prefer Golden Melodies. I have a guess as to why. I think that those sprues help create an airflow pattern marginally better for ob's. I plan to actually extend those sprues in certain directions in certain holes, and eliminate those sprues in others.

customizers remove them on the Special 20's but if you try to do that
on the Golden Melody the comb will shatter.
