[Harp-L] Chuck Gurney

Just have to say my 2 cents worth.......
I got a nice looking mic from someone who said the CR element was low Ohms and just needed to be turned up. Needless to say, it was lacking. On the merit of several harp-l posts about Chuck's work, I sent it to him. When he told me all that was wrong with it ( Lo-Z element, wrong volume pot, bad wiring ) I almost gave up. But Chuck has a good reputation for doing quality work. Plus, I like the sound of a CR element for certain styles. So I bit the bullet, even though I already had a bunch of money in it and hardly play amplified in this time.
What I got was a mic that's everything Chuck said that more than met my expectations! With all the talk about "customizers" recently, I felt it's important to not only personally add Chuck to the list, but to make the case in point of going with people who have a proven track record. I've learned my lesson............................................and thanks Chuck!
