[Harp-L] RE: George Harmonica Smith

Besides those rarities mentioned , how about George Harmonica Smith with the Jefferson Airplane 1966! Check out the Wolfgang's Vault for this recording, never released that I know of. Unfotunately, no harp on the tune when members of Muddy's band take stage at the end of the Airplane's set for a jam on "Midnight Hour" with what the notes say is George on vocals although I can't say for sure it sounds that much like him.
I was lucky enough to see George with the Bacon Fat (Piazza) at the Ash Grove circa 71, and leading various pickup bands over the years . I actually got to talk to him a few times, shortly before he passed away . Some of his solos still give me chills.

For the rarest George Harmonica Smith, look for him with the Plaster
Caster Blues Band or the Sky Saxon band!
He's a KIng for sure.
