[Harp-L] Sonny Jr reissue Bassman

I will have an early 90's reissue bassman that I will do what I do to make
it sound as close to my 410 as possible. I like the earlier blue eminences, but
may put a pair of my big em's in the bottom, and will switch the stained and
fraying cab to one of my 8 coat lacquered cabs which took a hit but is fine,
everything was sealed up, no dents, and I will guarantee the cab for a year.
The cost will be around $1000 plus shipping, and will have a vinyl cover
with Sonny Jr big logo on front. You will also get my 410 manual with an extra
tube subbing package so you can learn my system of taming the bassman to your
exact needs. So if you into saving money and getting a great amp with my
stamp of approval, contact me offlist, the first one will get it. Anyone who owns
one of the 30 or so reissues I did before the 410 took over is extremely
happy with what they received. I state around 1K as I have not received it yet,
I know it will need a completely new set of tubes, I use only Groove Tube GE
style #5 or 6's, and hope to get the bias where I want it. I will test every
speaker individually, and dremel out the chassis holes to accept a 1/4 inch
bolt instead of the flawed flimsy #10 bolts that Fender used to hold the
chassis. Most get bent in shipping or even in your car and have to be adjusted and
tightened all the time. Not with the 1/4 inch, it won't move. I had to do
that on about 10 of my 410's until I got the chassis builder to redesign my
chassis to accept the bolt I use. There is not bias pot and if the Groove Tubes
work, there is no need for one. Just replace these with the same grade and
you will not need to rebias the amp. Just one of the reasons I use GT tubes
and have had good success in the field. Sure, I have Tungsol NOS 5881's I paid
$160 a pair for, but in my personal amps are GT's. I do not notice much
difference when changing power tubes and my ear is all I have to go by. Sonny Jr.
