RE: [Harp-L] Fender Blues Jr Amps

I've been using a bone-stock Blues Jr for about four years. In my opinion, they produce a very warm tone and sound great when overdriven.

More technically savvy list members will be able to offer advice on how to modify these amps to make them more harp friendly.

Considering the mere 15 watts and a single speaker, they're surprisingly loud. Other musicians at jams and gigs frequently comment on how full the sound is. I brought it to a workshop taught by Rod Piazza and he really dug the tone it produced.

The only real shortcomming is feedback at certain settings. So I picked up a Kinder Antifeedback Box and this little amp honestly holds it's own among the guitar gods with their monster rigs.

I'd love a top-shelf boutique harp amp, and I intend to invest in one someday; but in the meantime, for the money I don't think you can get a better rig than a Fender Blues Jr coupled with a Kinder Antifeedback Box.
