Incidently, not related to the movie, was a rumor that the Chess Brothers were disrespectful and racist and made the artists enter the studio through the back Door. Willie Dixon responded that it was a lie.
Remember racism was present everywhere not just the South. There are still questions about Alan Freed and why he was singled out in the payola scandal. One reason presented is that he promoted inter racial dances and concerts that offended many.
