In the winter of 1970-71 I saw BB King open up for Steve Miller (when he  was 
at the top of the charts) at UMass-Amherst.  I guarantee you that  hardly 
anyone in that crowd had ever heard of BB King.  Well, it didn't  take long for 
BB and "Lucille" to have all those long-haired hippies in the palm  of his 
hand.  He stole the show. Geez, I'm old.
