Re: [Harp-L] Harp and Sax

Hi

A Couple come to mind: one chromatic and one diatonic. The DVD of the Charlie Hunter Quintet, "Right Now Live," has a lot of Gregoire Maret's (chromatic harmonica) work in the 'horn section' along with tenor sax and trombone - doing all the above.

Check out Red Archibald's CDs for diatonic, e.g., "West Coast Soul Stew". As I recall, there are a few cuts that fit the bill, plus a lot of great leads by both Red on harp and Don Baraka on sax.

Cheers,

I have recorded a live performance of my harp teacher, Luis Robinson
where you can find all the instruments listed here
but I cannot pass it along
because it's not being released and I haven't asked him his permission
I shall ask him, anyway... ;°)
