Re: [Harp-L] Discoloration of mouthpiece on new Super Chromatica

I've had the flu. I've been literally asleep for four days. No kidding. I've been awake maybe two hours each day. I come back to Harp-L today, find a lengthy, soap-operaish wanna be famous thread and the discolaration question out there hanging.

Discoloration:
It's natual Zeb. Don't worry about it. The only thing you can do is keep it polished, but it is going to discolor. If you've had other harps that didn't do that, it's probably cause the others were chrome plated. Your Hohner 270 is being true to its nature. Don't worry about it.

O.K. I'm going back to sleep now.

Subject: [Harp-L] Discoloration of mouthpiece on new Super Chromatica

The mouthpiece on my new (3 days old) Hohner Super Chromatica is discoloring in spots to a brassy brown color. It doesn't appear that any plating has worn off. I've only played it a few hours. Is this normal?
