[Harp-L] Re: Harp-L Digest, Vol 54, Issue 99

Hey JP,

Thanks for the plug! The date of the gig is now Monday, March 10th and we
hit at 8:00 pm. The band includes me, Trip Henderson, Randy Weinstein and
Marcus Milius with very special guest Emily Eagen on piano, vocals and
puckulo (she's a two time world champion whistler). We are doing everything
from the Delmore Brother"s "Blues Stay Away From Me" with three part harmony
singing *and* three part harp harmony (so pretty!) to jazz standards like
"In A Sentimental Mood" with whistle lead and harmonica backing. We will
also do some fiddle tunes both as harp and fiddle duets, and tunes done with
piano accompaniment. Bass harp, chromatic, diatonic - not for those of weak
disposition! Banjo Jim's is one of our favorite places to play (and the
only place that would book such a thing), its all about the music there!!!

Best to all,

Trip

Hi all,

This coming Monday, the 3rd, the NYC Harmonica
Ensemble will be playing at Banjo Jim's, 700 E 9th
St., 8pm-9pm.
I haven't checked them out yet, but I know some of
the players. I'd like to go, but I'll be out of town.
Honestly, I'm hoping someone can record the show, but
even if you can't, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
