Chris,
You might want to keep the paypal account but note on the website that 
you'd prefer by-check payment.

Every single who has bought my CD on Harp-l has actually written pretty 
much the same thing to me: "I assume you'd prefer if I just sent you a 
check."  People who absolutely must use a credit card won't buy from you 
any other way, so it isn't a bad thing to offer it.  But just tell people 
right there on the website that you'd prefer a check if possible.
