[Harp-L] NHC:Cool stuff on I-tunes Store

I always check for new freebee stuff in I-tunes to download. Not just music but educational info as well.

I clicked on a genre in ITune Store called ITunes U. I never took notice to it before but there is a nice selection of free downloads from University websites around the world. In there I went to Categories "Fine Art". Two sites that caught my eye were Smtihsonian Folkway Records and one titled Videos Smithsonian Global Sound.

The SFR website contained audio roots music from mostly the America's but other countries as well.
The Video site is a gold mine of free downloads of roots music from around the world. Although most are short
(around 3 to 5 minutes videos) there is a lot to soak up on the whole if you are into World Music and want to see it performed or demonstrated live. I downloaded a short video of Cephas and Wiggins to start.

There are also downloads for classical musicians.

I haven't watched any yet. Still finding more stuff to put on my Ipod for the coming work week.
