Re: [Harp-L] Subject: Re: Little Walter Hall of Fame Inductee/Pocket Full of Soul Footage

Little Walter's induction was great ! When the house band played "My Babe", it sounded like the bass player was playing in another key in one section of the song. You can see Cotton looking over at him.
Also, Cotton was playing his harp with a vocal mic, SM58, through the house PA, maybe ?

I looked in the end credits for mention of the Pocket Full of Soul footage,
but didn't find any mention, disappointingly. However it was probably
contained in the small script scrolling by too quickly for me to read...

The VH-1 Rock 'N Roll Induction Hall of Fame Ceremony will be re-televised
tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1p.m. Eastern time...for those who might want to set
their recording devices. This is on VH-1CL. Little Walter's induction takes
place roughly around the first half hour mark.

Good Show in other aspects too. I especially enjoyed Billy Joel's markedly
irreverent New York sense of humour. Who knew he'd be quite this funny,
inducting John Mellencamp? Great to see Patti LaBelle and Jerry Butler looking so
good and in almost as strong voice as they were 40 years ago.
