Man, if you're gonna walk in on one top jazz guitar players on the  
planet, you'd better be able to play that thing like Howard Levy.

I've been following John Scofield since   the 70's. He is a unique  
voice in jazz with overtones of country and R&B.

His latest album is a tribute to Ray Charles. Mavis Staples and John  
Mayer appear on that date. I highly recommend it.

In short , he is one of the absolute monsters of jazz guitar. He is as  
we say "The shit!"
