[Harp-L] Melody Maker vs Spiral tuning

Hello harp-L members. Here is a newbie question from… well… a newbie.

Which tuning, in your opinion works better for playing melodies? The Melody Maker or the Spiral (Circular) tuning?

 

I love playing melodies with the occasional chord thrown in.

I like to play gospel, country and folk tunes.

I am all for “ bluesifying your melody”

 

 What do you think are the pros/cons of each tuning? Which one would work better for me as per the above style?
