Re: [Harp-L] tired comb debate - What help IS there?

Brothers & Sisters of the Tin Sandwich,

Has NOBODY ever done a frequency and decibel analysis of harmonicas? And of the comb material associated with those measurements.

There are some excellent articles at http://www.melbay.com/ and scroll down to Harmonica Sessions or http://www.harmonicasessions.com/

Kinya Pollard has done some great articles regarding how to get the most by sealing, re-covering and cover modification.

But n-o-o-o-o-o-body has thought to make a measurement? You'ld think you were all musicians or something...!

To paraphrase Jason Ricci, " People who say combs don't affect sound or playability don't play / practice enough" Randy, http://www.genesisharmonicas.net _______________________________________________ Harp-L is sponsored by SPAH, http://www.spah.org Harp-L@xxxxxxxxxx http://harp-l.org/mailman/listinfo/harp-l
