The Solist and is about the size of a Hohner MS, the Solist Pro as well. I know I am always bragging about the Solist, but hands down, stock, the Pro is better and more comfortable, but then again, the Solist is 25 bucks. The Solist has a beech comb - like Seydel used in the prewar flagship  -- and  the Solist Pro has this laser-cut maple comb. 
The Solist and Solist Pro have two different reed profiles, which Seydel has gone back and forth with since the 1800s. The Solist Pro has a wider reed profile that's a good bit wider than the MB, the Solist has a narrow profile that's narrower than the MB's. 
The Solist was unsealed beechwood, with black paint until last year. Now it is sealed beech with a wood-grain look. If I were picking a stock harp between them, it would be a pro.

I recently got a Marine Band Deluxe and really like the harp because
it's the same size/covers,etc. as the original Marine Band, sealed,
and very airtight.  Of course, the price tag shows it as well.  I
noticed that the Solist and Solist Pro both have sealed combs and seem
very airtight as well.  For the Solist, the website indicates that the
sealing of the comb was a new improvement.

My question is, how do they compare size-wise to the MB/D?  I've
really gotten used to the smaller size of the MB/D but wouldn't mind
trying a less expensive sealed, wood-combed, harmonica.
