[Harp-L] Practicing fast pieces more slowly

You know when some virtuoso plays a riff so fast it's like standing on a
platform as the express train passes, and all you're left with is a feeling
of admiring inadequacy, as you didn't get the notes?

There's a GNU-licenced piece of Freeware called "Best Practice", which
allows you to slow-down a fast piece without discernibly interfering with
the pitch.
(Google "BestPractice" "open-source" "time-stretching")
The speed is variable, (but below 70% it can get a little staccato).
It will play either tracks from a CD, or files on your computer, and it's
handier -and cheaper- than using "Reason" or similar heavy software..

Now Granny, take the egg in your left hand..........

Best Regards Geoff Atkins
