RE: [Harp-L] mic repair reference

I agree with the suggestions Re: mic repairs. Dennis Oellig [Mr Microphone] is [for me] a most decent efficient harmonica microphone tech in my experience. He knows !
I've purchased good'un's from other decent helpful collectors eg: Ron Sunshine- Ebay deluxe8765
Obviously, I realize there are other guys touted as the ultimate 'bottom end' specialists and 'tone gurus' of the harp mic, however, I've purchased equiptment from some of those acknowledged experts and then there are 'others' I'm yet to experience reliable communication or sales with. The fact is the vintage bullet mics Dennis Oellig 'hot rodded' for me,
*[a rare-ish chrome Ronette and an old 'Big Walter' Argonne] are truely amazing to play amplified harp with. Thankfully he really took the time to make them not only fully 'push' the volume and thick tone but they each are 'very unique' in character 'tonally' with the elements suited to my intended requirements and the actual 'shell' of the mics. He really cares and gives a client 'respect' unlike some wankers I've come by in my dealings.
After the jobs he did for me,I really can't imagine playing anything better! By the way, I purchased a Sonny Jnr 'chopped Turner' [which like his amps, I think are rather overrated by SJ] and I own a collection of at least 10 other 'really excellent' gnarly harp microphones.
I enjoy useing my vintage mic collection for 'differing recording tones' ,amp combinations and of cause 'live' performance situations. Personally I like to 'love' using and owning my musical equipment.
Mr Microphone has a great little website and I suspect he has worked on hundreds more projects, other than the 'flash paint jobs' you see in the pics on his site. Amusingly he is the self proclaimed 'Minister for Toneland Security' so what more do you want?
In my dealings with him, Dennis delivers the absolute 'best possible outcome' or he just won't touch the job. Guaranteed, well worth his quoted fee to own one of his harp microphones.
