Princetons and Princeton Reverbs are quite a bit different. It's more than just the addition of reverb. A blackface Princeton Reverb compared to a silver face Princeton Reverb is a fair comparison, the other is apples to oranges, just not the same amp. JDH

I'll go with the eye witness account every time. SF Princeton it is. I do think I've heard other accounts of Mr. Horton playing a white knob in an earlier era. I'd take the SF over the white knob anyhow. I had a white knob and it was really hard to get it to sound compressed or distorted. It was just thin and clean. No doubt if BWF played it the amp would have sounded great. fjm
