[Harp-L] Chromatic reed plates sale

Hi Gang,
I'm finally over whatever respiratory problem I contracted back in September and now the exercise program begins.
While I'll still be out of the repair business for a few months to deal with that I'm able to sell parts to anyone that wants to fix their own Hohner chromes. I decided to sell down some of my inventory in hopes of bringing in some much needed cash.

I'm having a sale on NOS 260 C-G reed plates, and comb mounted 260-C and 270-C plates.
All the mounted and unmounted reed plates date from late 1950's to early 1960's. The unmounted 260 plates are $30 per set. Specify key. The comb mounted versions are $35 per set and ready for assembly.

The 270's came from the factory mounted on combs and are ready for assembly. If you have some dead 260/270's sitting around the house or you are looking to have a supply of backups now is a good time to replace them for a fraction of the cost of a factory repair or having to buy new 270's. I'm selling those for $40 per mounted set.

Being that they are at least 50 years old there is some dulling of brass plates but that in no way affects the performance of the reeds. I use these plates as replacement plates for my pro and semi-pro customers and in my custom built chromatics. While the holes are there for the mouthpiece screws you will need to tap the thread when you attach the mouthpiece. This simply involves slowly threading the screws in and out of the holes to prevent breaking the screw off. Hohner uses what appears to be teflon paste to make the threading easier. I use Conn lll silicone oil on the threads.

I'm keeping a small supply for my own use and reserve the right to limit the quantity of sales.
These are the only keys I have in stock.
You can email me offlist at my business address fatheadmi @ comcast. net for information on ordering and payment options.

Take Care
and have a great New Year
Mike
