can say the evolving cure, maddening as it is... Is (Dang it!!)

A few brave souls may invest the time to overcome this problem, learning
more about bending technique and harmonica control in the process. It may
help to consider thinking not so much that the tonic IS a bend, but rather
that it is  a NOTE created through a bend technique.
 
After all, at one time, it was a problem to bend the 4 hole inhale down a
1/2 step.

I agree, although the problem with the bend to the  tonic is only in the 
bottom  octave.
