[Harp-L] Alternative to Kinder AFB+

I had the same problem when I used to play through a Blues Junior. To control feedback, I used an MXR 10 band equalizer between the mic and the amp to decrease 1k and 2k and to pump the low mids at 250hz AND, MOST IMPORTANT, to reduce the gain of the mic signal with the gain and volume sliders on the MXR. Turning those sliders down a little makes the signal from the mic less "hot" so you can turn up the volume on the amp more and still control the feedback. The BJ is a high gain amp anyway. I never used a booster pedal. But if I did, I would put the MXR after the booster pedal (you can turn it on when you use the boost or just leave it on all the time). Also, be sure the FAT switch on the BJ is OFF.

I sold my BJ when the Princeton Reverb Reissue came out. No regrets.

FWIW.
