THE TONE.....THE TONE!  And no "crunch" or distortion. It all comes  
from what he puts into the mic and a mic that doesn't mask what he's  
doing.  And all in Cotton's own non-imitative style.  Wow.  Knocks me  
out every time, even after all this time. A master. (Oh, and, yeah, I  
bought a Super Reverb because of him and Butterfield and because it's  
an amp that responds to what the player does instead of defining the  
player's tone. No regrets.)
