[Harp-L] professional set-up of reed profiles and offsets ??????

"professional set-up of reed profiles and offsets"

Mr. Spiers and the rest of the Harp l community I apologize for sounding repetitive and even dumb.
I'm still not clear on customization of harmonica.... I understand the concept of the difference between
an old 1967 4 door Impala and a 1967 fully restored 4 door impala ( by the way if any one is selling let me know).

I read on several customizers sites about regaping, I guess its the same thing as Mr. Spiers was getting at..
Its less work done, so its less expensive...
I'm trying real hard to wrap my mind around this concept. I want my words to sound clear so that you can understand my meaning. I do not mind spending the money.... ( well I do )..... but if I buy a cell phone and they say don't get it wet or you will lose the warranty, this I understand.

Since I just blew out a # 3 reed, and trying to bring it back to life.
And I want to and will be buying more harps.
I would like a clear understanding between customizing or having the reeds set up.
If I tend to blow out my reeds, how would getting a custom harp or reed set up help.

Mind you I have several harps and in 6 months only 1 reed went bad. I practice each day (mostly) and jam once a week ( mostly).
Please don't ignore my question, this question... I know its dumb, like asking what does 2+2 =.
I just came back form the Surgeons office and we have a wait and see situation going on..... so Im slightly down right now.
So, if you think the question is dumb and want to ignore it just respond and say hay Blueyes the answer is 4.

abner ( Blueyes, Harp L better then seeing a shrink)
